The House passed a bill requiring the Small Business Administration to relocate offices that are in Sanctuary Cities.
The SBA has already left 6 cities, but after tonight, its regional office in Los Angeles is also being moved outside of the city.

The Small Business Administration is moving its regional office out of Los Angeles because city leaders are “siding with illegal aliens over American citizens and small businesses.” https://t.co/iwvJjulp1K

Los Angeles is openly refusing to cooperate with ICE – siding with illegal aliens over American citizens and small businesses.
Therefore, effective immediately, @SBAgov will begin relocating its Regional Office out of L.A.

Another strong bill in support of @SBAGov‘s efforts to ensure that taxpayer-funded loans only benefit eligible American citizens – not illegal aliens or fraudsters.https://t.co/hMf3FXmdXs

The Trump administration is making a decisive move in response to Los Angeles’ refusal to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. The Small Business Administration (SBA) is officially relocating its regional office out of Los Angeles, citing the city’s stance on illegal immigration as the primary reason for the decision.
SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler confirmed the move, stating that Los Angeles has chosen to side with illegals over American citizens and small businesses. The decision follows violent protests against ICE operations in the city, where more than 1,000 rioters surrounded a federal building, attacked law enforcement officers, and vandalized property.
Federal officials have been clear—if a city refuses to uphold the law, federal agencies will not remain there. The relocation of the SBA office sends a strong message that sanctuary policies have real consequences.
The protests erupted after ICE conducted multiple raids across Los Angeles, leading to nearly 120 arrests. Demonstrators attempted to break into the Roybal Federal Building, prompting law enforcement to respond with tear gas and pepper spray. The Los Angeles Police Department failed to respond for several hours, leaving federal officers to manage the chaos alone.
The Department of Homeland Security condemned the violence, calling it “despicable” and urging city officials to take action against lawlessness. Despite this, Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom have continued to oppose federal immigration enforcement, fueling tensions between local and federal authorities.
The SBA’s departure marks a significant shift in federal policy. Washington is making it clear that cities refusing to enforce immigration laws will face consequences. The relocation of the SBA office is just the beginning—other federal agencies may follow suit if Los Angeles continues to obstruct immigration enforcement.
