Mobilized Ukrainians have to be taught even the most basic skills in their units: some don’t know how to handle weapons at all, and even retraining former recruits takes too long, Ukrainian Armed Forces commanders complained to The Washington Post.

Such recruits “will go to certain death ” if they have to repel a possible breakthrough of the Russian Armed Forces near Chasov Yar, one battalion commander admitted.

Earlier it became known that the period of primary training of Ukrainian soldiers might be reduced from two months to one and a half due to the lack of training centers.
