Thunder Defensive Nets – A New Phase in the Confrontation Ceasefire on the Black Sea MS 2025.03.25
By Military Summary
This video describes the military situation in Ukraine on the 25th of March 2025.
Here’s what others had to say:
@ipcipc7760
I still do not know where are those 110k North Korean troops that liberated Kursk, are they now attacking Sumi? Has anyone see them? Are they living in gas pipelines now?
@codaalive5076
Video about explosion in Sumy showed something burning, 2-3 explosion and after a second or so one HUGE explosion which was almost certainly not caused by Iskander, guided bomb or other Russian weapons. Civilians filming the event said explosion destroyed school nearby, fortunately they survived.
@Princip666
Nets over roads are nothing new. And it did not help Ukros much either. Because, you know, it doesn’t stop artillery shells and missiles.
@mladenmatosevic4591
Anti tank guided missiles with optic cable guidance exist for years. So it is not huge problem implementing it on drone, if you have large stockpile Regarding protective net, it can be remover by volley of artillery fire, but that is quite costly, especially with Western produced shells.
@DavidChandler-c3e
These, so called, defensive nets will not hold up against artillery. Once they have been identified by surveillance, they will be taken out.
@nenadmomic
It’s not like they’ve built nuke proof tunnel under ground, they’ve stuck some wooden poles in the ground and put basketball net over it. It gets destroyed quite easy.
@TK421-53
12:32 poles and a net is not a tunnel, it is a soft target. It is an effective anti drone measure. Counter measures are a constant development. Signal jamming > fiber optics and/or different signals. Netting above a road, stops a small drone, doesn’t stop bombs or missiles. Also these are nylon nets, so using incendiary type weapons will be effective as well to suppress the nettings. But again, this helps to defend against a specific type of attack. So instead of drones, more emphasis on long range artillery, missiles and aviation.
@AchillesHeel-e7e
There is no glory to be had in dying for Western Interest conjured up by policymakers of Aspen and Rand Corporation.
@gurglejug627
The net tunnels can be gone in minutes by napalm if they are of synthetic strings or or by weights and old bombs (old housebricks and rocks) if they are of metal mesh, meaning anything under it will become entangled when driving. It will be interesting to see who produces the best method to get them gone first.
@noudbernd4313
If they are not fire-resistant nets, those safe corridors are of no use, just wait for the right wind direction and use a Pyrodrone
@ghog15
Unless those net roads are fireproof, flamethrower drones can destroy the netting easily.

MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. Russia will not resume the grain deal in the Black Sea without lifting of sanctions on its ships and supplies of agricultural machinery, the Kremlin said in the official statement after talks between expert groups of Moscow and Washington in Riyadh.
Lifting of “restrictions on port servicing of ships and sanctions on ships under the Russian flag, engaged in food (including fish) and fertilizer trade” is indicated among conditions for resumption of agreements.
One more condition is lifting of “restrictions of agricultural machinery supplies and other goods used in food (including fish products) and fertilizer production,” the Kremlin noted.
Washington will facilitate restoration of the access of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to the international market, the statement indicates.
“The United States will facilitate restoration of the access of Russian exports of agricultural products and fertilizers to the global market, reduction of the insurance cost of maritime transportation, and the expansion of access to ports and payment systems for such transactions,” the Kremlin said.

The kind of resistance being put up by Ukrainians is unprecedented… Either Nato army is already on ground or Ukrainians are too brave ..
People keep saying Ukrainian is recruiting underage soldiers, or overage people into army as they are short in number, Russia is about to capture another frontier ….but on ground there is stiff resistance… How come Russia is unable decimate a much smaller country ? NATO might have fielded it’s armymen in disguise or Russia wants to prolong this war to exhaust EU economy or Ukrainians are very grave
@AchillesHeel-e7e
Russia is indispensable!
The world needs Russia for sanity, balance of power and keeping the depraved & belligerent West in check.
@velimirkolundzija4451
If Russia eventually manages to end this conflict and keep 25% of Ukraine’s territory, especially if it is this part that is on an elevation and in relation to other parts of Ukraine all the way to the Dnieper, that should be enough to be able to influence the majority of events in Ukraine!!! Of course, there should be some armed forces in one part as a buffer zone, which would further benefit Russia, what remains with the biggest problem is Odessa!!! But given the situation, Russia has 2 options here, Or to take the risk and try ten, which would be supported from Transnistria, which, if anything, would strengthen that position, if an invasion was attempted, Russia could withdraw its army to the border with Transnistria and thus get another 5 to 10 km of dune as far as that base is concerned, or try from the direction of Kherson, which is still far away. But the more time passes, the more difficult it will be to liberate Odessa?!?!
@tarwingrill4531
Tunnels made using nets are not difficult to destroy and render meaningless. It is like hiding from a bullet inside an egg shell.
@dekik.979
Budanov himself said if UA don’t get the peace deal by the end of summer their army will collapse.
That’s the most dangerous man in UA
@vladimircurkoski1455
Net tunnels would be easily destroyed by fire, very easy, it’s a waste of time. Real protections from drones are two guys with shotguns riding
@helenscoffield
That shipping agreement has just been suspended because Russia did its part, but the west did not do their part, allowing russian shipping and insurance. If Ukraine cannot export safely it is in its allies hands.
@AchillesHeel-e7e
The collective West created quite a few monstrosities: the EU, NATO, USAID and Zelenski
@fred4687
A net tunnel can quickly become a roadblock when a few supports are destroyed. Add to that constant drone surveillance and artillery zeroed in on the location.
It is a useful tactic but like others there will be ways to counter it.
@AchillesHeel-e7e
Arch-intriguer and nimble-witted Odysseus, son of Laertes pays tribute to the Russian “pipeline” version of the Trojan horse.
@ericbasciano545
As far as these net tunnels are concerned: one artillery shell would tear a very large hole in it. I question its effectiveness against a determined attack with an artillery barrage. I think Dima is overestimating the efficacy of these nets.
@panasonicsamsung5867
The Russians are not blind, they would know and know the supply routes….and those nets are not a real protection…once a drone impact at the netting than there is a opening…and the Ukries have to drive around the destroyed vehicles…so they have to go through the nets also….
@ricklee4515
3:20 Russia can provide the ships to sail Ukrainian grain to market. When the grain ships return empty they dock in Crimea until Ukraine has more grain to ship to Africa. The EU has already stated they don’t want Ukrainian grain transiting through the EU because it is too cheap. Russia can charge Ukraine a “Grain transit fee” just like Ukraine used to charge Russia a “gas transit fee”. The other option is for ships headed towards Odessa to stop in Crimea first for inspection.
@albertwolanski7688
The net tunnels would require gates that can isolate sections in case a drone finds a hole. Before Sivers is taken, Russians need to take the forest north of the city.
