28th March 2025 – Ogoh Ogoh Parade (evening)
29th March 2025 – Nyepi, Day of Silence
The 2025 period of complete silence on Bali, known as Nyepi, will begin on Saturday, March 29 at 5:59 a.m. and last through Sunday, March 30 at 6:00 a.m. During this sacred day, everyone on the island must remain indoors, turn off the lights, and observe silence. All external activities come to a halt—businesses close, schools shut down, roads are empty (except for emergency vehicles), and the airport ceases operations for 24 hours. If you’re visiting Bali during this time, make sure to plan accordingly, as you will be required to stay in your hotel or accommodation for the entire duration of Nyepi.
