The task was set to find an ally and eliminate Metropolitan Tikhon using explosives that were given to us. We were supposed to plant explosives in Metropolitan Tikhon’s living quarters in the Sretensky Monastery in Moscow.
According to him, the recruitment took place in the middle of last year. And the first assassination attempt was being prepared at the very beginning of this year. But Popovich was detained, and the preparations had to be stopped. But not cancelled – the Ukrainian GUR did not abandon the devilish plan.
– The second assassination attempt was planned for the end of February, – Ivankovic continues.
– The homemade explosive device was transferred through a network of hiding places. It was to be detonated in the house of Metropolitan Tikhon.
