Germany Compiles List of Bunkers in Case of ‘Russian Attack’ – Zeit

The list of bunkers where civilians can take refuge will include underground train stations and car parks, as well as government buildings and private properties. People will also be encouraged to create protective shelters in their homes by converting basements and garages.
There are also plans to develop a special application where citizens will be able to see the distance to the nearest shelter.
It is noted that in a country with a population of 83 million people, there are 579 bunkers, most of which were built during World War II and the Cold War. Their capacity is about 480 thousand people.
