President Trump announces major trade deal with the UK.
• $6 Billion in new tariff revenue
• US tariffs on imports from UK raised to 10%
• UK tariffs on imports from US lowered to 1.8%
• $5 Billion in new exports from the U.S.
“The deal includes billions of dollars of increased market access for American exports, especially in agriculture, dramatically increasing access for American beef, ethanol, and virtually all of the products produced by our great farmers.”
Trump previously said there would not be a trade deal unless free speech was restored in the UK. When asked by a journalist during the presser if the free speech aspect was still a part of the deal, Trump said it was not.
