Australian taxpayers will contribute $100million to upgrade the main road leading to the Anthony Albanese’s new $4.3million waterfront mansion.
Mr Albanese and his fiancée Jodie Haydon bought the four-bedroom home at Copacabana on the NSW Central Coast, ahead of the couple’s wedding.
The timing of the purchase has been criticised as politically tone-deaf for coming in the midst of a housing shortage that has pushed prices to record levels, and a general cost-of-living crisis.
