On Friday night, President Trump traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to hold a rally with GOP Senator Darline Graham.
Darline Graham, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, advanced in the South Carolina Senate Republican Special Election Primary earlier this month.
Darline Graham will face off against Rep. Ralph Norman (R) in the August 25 runoff.
President Trump endorsed Darline Graham last month, saying, “Darline, who comes from an absolutely incredible family, has been a WINNER all of her life and, should she accept, has my Complete and Total Endorsement in the Special Election for U.S. Senate in South Carolina — SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN. RUN, DARLINE, RUN! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
During the rally, a protester began shouting at the President before being escorted out by police and convention center staff.
President Trump paused his remarks and addressed the protester.
“That’s all right. That person’s going home to mom.”
“Gonna get scolded because mom is voting for us. You know, mom is voting for us.”
