President Trump released a statement on Truth Social this afternoon, blasting Ilhan Omar for claiming a net worth of over $30 million but later revising the number to $100,000 or less as the Justice Department probes her citizenship and finances.
Omar previously revealed in a financial disclosure a net worth of $38 million but later claimed that it was an “accounting error” and that she is actually worth around $80,000.
“Could it be that her highly paid accountant actually reported the money that was stolen from her fraudulent activities in Minnesota? Would something like that be possible? Do you think the accountant actually gave the right number the first time, 30 Million Dollars, and then she was forced to disavow because she never would have been able to report where that much money came from?” Trump questioned.
“She must have freaked out when she saw that money! Where did her house come from, where did her cars come from, and what about her lovely place in Washington, D.C.? I didn’t know that Congressmen and women made that kind of money, but I do know her husband, according to information and belief, makes almost nothing, so it couldn’t have come from him.”
This comes after Omar’s Washington, DC home was raided early on Monday morning in a criminal fraud investigation that is looking at Omar’s immigration paperwork, which was filled out by her late father when she was a teen. Investigators were seen hauling boxes of evidence out of her home yesterday.
Officials believe that she may have lied on her papers, constituting fraudulent citizenship. Border Czar Tom Homan and DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin have both suggested that she lied and could be deported.
The Trump Administration is now signaling that Omar committed several crimes in addition to fraudulent citizenship.
Judge Jeanine Pirro went on Fox earlier and confirmed that the Justice Department is looking into her finances.
“They got a warrant signed by a federal judge. So, you’ve got the executive branch through HSI going to a federal judge who is cognizant of the Fourth Amendment rights of any target, who said, ‘ you have the right to search this person’s house.,’” she said.
“Based upon that execution of that warrant, we will see what comes of it.”
Pirro added that “there is no question that that judge would not have signed that warrant unless there was probable cause — and probably more than that given the individual that’s involved, and given the fact that we’re in the nation’s capital with judges in the nation’s capital.”
Pirro added that there are “several investigations going on,” suggesting that the civil or criminal immigration issues or financial crimes may be involved.
I can tell you that is the subject of an investigation as well,” Pirro said of Omar’s financial disclosures and $30 million net worth.
