Red meat industry threatened by Trump tariffs

Imported US Dodge RAM, popular in Australia will cost another $20,000 after Labor’s insane climate tariff begins in July

Australian beef exports to America look like they will be next on Trump’s hit list of tariffs after enacting a 25 per cent tariff on steel and aluminium exports Tuesday.

Northern Australia beef producers could be affected by US tariffs

Endless Ministerial delegations, phone calls to US Congressmen and the Republican Party, woke Ambassador Kevin Rudd scurrying from office to office in Congress and a refusal by President D J Trump to lower himself to speak to Marxist PM Albanese or lesbian, China sycophant and Foreign Minister Penny Wong have proved fruitless in getting an exemption from tariffs.

Trump warned countries such as Australia in his remarkable speech to Congress last week that any country which imposed tariffs in any form on the US imports would find reciprocal barriers on their goods.

The embattled, woke tosser Albanese imposed a climate change tariff on imported US SUV’s of around $20,000 per vehicle starting in July which did not escape the attention of the US administration. A 2024 Dodge RAM basic cost to Australian motorists is $173,000 then add on Albanese’s falling sky stupidity taking it to nearly $200,000. Needless to say not too many would be sold at this price.

Long ago Trump denounced climate change and the “green new scam” telegraphing a warning to the UN and WEF’s climate cultists that countries wishing to benefit economically from the US would need to ‘fall in line.’

Albanese refuses to publicly acknowledge this nonsensical vehicle impost.

The Australian red meat industry is valued at $6.2bn in exports to the U.S. which relies on northern Australia beef mince for its hamburger chains.

The U.S. is Australia’s largest market for beef, lamb, and goat meat, with producers selling nearly 30% of total red meat exports to American buyers. However, US farmers have long lobbied for tariffs to curb foreign competition. R-CALF, one of the largest US livestock advocacy groups, has called for a 25% tariff on Australian sheep meat, citing concerns that imports have displaced local production.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong has acknowledged that the Australian government has been in negotiations with the Trump administration to secure an exemption, offering expanded access to Australia’s critical minerals in exchange for relief on tariffs. However, government sources say the proposal was unsuccessful.

If China imposes a retaliatory tariff on imported US boxed beef making it too expensive for the fickle Chinese market, Australia could fill the void with our prime beef.

That would be the only light on the horizon for Australia’s over-regulated, struggling cattle producers. Trump the chess maestro, has made it patently obvious he will not deal with the Labor Party or any of its members who have criticised his policies or demeaned his character.

So far his torrid behaviour towards Australia shows no sign of weakening. It remains to be seen if the Liberal Party would get better treatment should they win government at the May election.

Opposition Leader Dutton’s support for the drug-addicted former Ukraine President Zelensky after the White House eruption over ongoing military aid did not impress Trump or VP Vance.

It does appear Australia under its present and projected administration, has a tenuous hold on US hegemony for the foreseeable future which probably influenced China’s bold military display a week ago when its warships ventured into southern Australian waters to undertake live firing exercises in an unprecedented exhibition of its military dominance of the Pacific.

The Australian military does not have the ability to defend Brisbane let alone the entire country and the immoral weasel Albanese gave away our 45 reserve army tanks to the most corrupt, child-trafficking regime on Earth, Ukraine.

It is hard to believe any Australian could vote for this treacherous Communist or his cadres.
