Last Friday, I had the pleasure of shaking the hand of New South Wales upper house politician John Ruddick, who has put forward a draft law that would stop sex selection abortions in his State.

I also presented John with a petition signed by more than 7,300 CitizenGO members in support of his bill.
Normally, we’d end our campaign there. But when it comes to saving the lives of unborn babies, the fight is never over!
That’s why we are asking you to attend the Rally for Life TOMORROW (Tuesday, 2 June), in Sydney outside New South Wales Parliament House.
This matters because the law in New South Wales allows abortion right through to birth.
A child just days from delivery can still be denied the chance to live. And now, John Ruddick is trying to stop one of the sickest reasons for abortion, terminating an unborn child just because they are the “wrong” sex.
A baby girl should not be killed because her parents wanted a boy. A baby boy should not be killed because his parents wanted a girl. No child should ever be treated as disposable because of sex, disability, convenience, pressure, fear, or ideology.
But sex selection abortion is not some faraway horror story from overseas. Research from Edith Cowan University has raised serious concerns that this practice is taking place here in Australia.
Yet our laws still fail to properly protect these children.
That is why tomorrow’s rally is so important.
The night before John Ruddick’s bill is brought before Parliament, pro-life Australians will gather outside NSW Parliament House to show MPs that this issue cannot be ignored. They need to see real people. They need to see families. They need to see voters. They need to see Australians who are willing to stand in public and say unborn children deserve protection.
Please attend the Rally for Life TOMORROW at 6:00pm.
