Staten Island patriot artist and relentless Trump-supporting activist Scott LoBaido suffered cardiac arrest Tuesday night at a pro-police National Night Out Against Crime event after attempting to confront radical socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and later revealed from his hospital bed that he “actually died for 2 minutes.”
LoBaido, 61, the hard-charging conservative known for his massive American flag murals, anti-left stunts, and fierce defense of cops and America, collapsed at the Midland Beach boardwalk event in Staten Island shortly after Mamdani was mercilessly booed off the stage by the crowd.

According to a witness cited by the New York Post, LoBaido attempted to approach Mamdani after the mayor’s brief remarks but was held back by police. Soon afterward, he said he was not feeling well and collapsed.
Emergency personnel immediately performed CPR and used a defibrillator. LoBaido began breathing again before being rushed to Staten Island University Hospital.
A hospital spokesperson confirmed that the 61-year-old activist suffered cardiac arrest and was initially listed in critical but stable condition.

From the hospital, LoBaido sent a dramatic message shared by Real America’s Voice host Grant Stinchfield: “I actually died for 2 minutes. Medics in hand brought me back just in time.”
Stinchfield urged viewers to keep praying for the recovering activist.

Longtime Gateway Pundit readers are already familiar with LoBaido’s unapologetic activism.
In 2025, during Mamdani’s anti-Trump campaign stop on the Island, LoBaido confronted the then-candidate inside a restaurant, calling him out as a communist, Jew-hater, and America-hater who wasn’t welcome. He was arrested and hit with summonses (later dismissed).
He has blasted Mamdani’s policies that diminish police, freeze hiring of officers, and put cops’ lives at risk. He even erected a giant middle-finger statue aimed at the mayor and painted the socialist blowing up the city.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, LoBaido was given a summons after throwing pizzas over the gates of City Hall while protesting New York’s crackdown on traditional coal- and wood-fired pizza ovens.
The Gateway Pundit also covered LoBaido’s planned “New York Pizza Party” protest and the mysterious appearance of Trump-silhouette traffic signs around New York City.
Please keep Scott LoBaido, his family and the medical professionals caring for him in your prayers.
