Labour wants to free killers and rapists among the population.
It’s been only three days since former Manchester mayor Andy Burnham has become Britain’s Prime Minister, but he’s already had to drastically intervene into ongoing policies he inherited from failing Keir Starmer.
Burnham will reportedly pause the ‘early release of prisoners’ after a major scandal is brewing over two of police constable Andrew Harper’s killers being about to be freed.

The Telegraph reported:
“More than 5,000 prisoners, including killers, rapists and violent criminals, were due to be freed halfway through their sentences in monthly tranches from Sept 2.
The Prime Minister had already announced a review of the scheme, after this newspaper discovered that Albert Bowers and Jessie Cole were set to be released after just six years in prison for the manslaughter of Pc Harper in 2019.”

“The Prime Minister said: ‘Keeping the public safe will always be my top priority. I am working closely with the new Justice Secretary and have instructed my team to put a pause on the changes that were due to start in September. No prisoners will be let out under this policy until we have conducted an urgent review and done everything we can to minimize risk to the public. Where changes are needed, we will not hesitate to make them’.
He is under pressure from MPs, victims’ groups and [constable] Harper’s widow to exempt the most serious offenders from the scheme, including criminals convicted of serious violence against emergency workers.”
In the meantime, a secondary scandal is developing, as Labour ministers were captured laughing at the release of criminals.
