Multinational ‘Safari Club’ linked to Kirk assassination plot

Durov’s post on X after Owens revealed the threat.

PAVEL Durov, the owner of the Telegram platform, has backed Candace Owens claims that the French presidential palace ordered a multinational assassination squad to take her out “live on air for visceral effect”.

The alternative news outlet 21st Century Wire has also aligned Owens’ identification of Egyptian-based military flights in an out of the US with a longstanding multinational intelligence operation known as The Safari Club.

“When high-profile American podcaster Candace Owens publicly alleged that a state-sanctioned French assassination plot (with at least one Israeli operative involved) was being planned, most would have written it off as a publicity stunt or paranoid rantings. Yet, for anyone who knows the shadowy history of multinational intelligence alliances, her claim shouldn’t be dismissed so easily,” 21st Century Wire reported on November 27th.

“In 1976, the Safari Club, run from secret rooms in Cairo, staffed by French Foreign Legion veterans, Egyptian Sa’ka commandos, Israeli operatives, CIA operatives and other criminal actors, showed the world that states could collaborate beyond borders, laws, and scrutiny.

“Unproven as Owens’ allegation may seem, the historical record of such clandestine activities makes this story not merely imaginable, but very possible.”

Owens’ podcast team investigations revealed that one of two Egypt-based jets not only visited Provo around the time of Kirk’s assassination, but had simultaneously landed at nearly 70 of the locations visited by Erica and Charlie Kirk during their US campus tours.

The jets, a Gulfstream 4 (tail number SU-BND) and a Dassault Falcon 7X (SU-BTT), operate as “military jets” and fly between Egypt, France and multiple US military locations mostly in the midwest but also at Wilmington Delaware. They are almost certainly involved in intelligence operations.

The French insider who tipped off Owens suggested President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigette had “authorized and financed” an operation to kill her, assigning it to a small National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) team that included an Israeli operative.

Owens also said the information led her to believe that “Charlie Kirk’s assassin trained with the French Legion 13th brigade with multi-state involvement”.

Meanwhile leading figures in Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA and various evangelical leaders across the US are running a campaign to discredit Owens, accusing her of “unchristian behaviour” by sharing unproven conspiracy theories. Owens called it Operation Mockingpastor, a reference to the CIA cointel operation in the media called Operation Mockingbird.

It is clear that the US evangelicals’ theological and political alignment with Israel as “God’s chosen nation” is driving the campaign against Owens and a to a lesser degree against Tucker Carlson, because they have questioned the pro-Israel narrative.

However that campaign is also being actively driven by Israel. According to Israeli news outlet Haaretz, Israel has signed contracts worth millions of dollars to “rehabilitate Israel’s standing in American public opinion both online and offline and run “hasbara (public diplomacy) campaigns”.

Kirk himself turned from Israel’s number one political asset in the US to it’s number one political liability, when over a period of months he began to question and push back against the US Jewish lobby that was pouring large sums of money into his TPUSA organisation.

These same donors were demanding that Kirk keep Carlson and Owens off the TPUSA platforms, but Kirk pushed back and even told Carlson not to hold back in one recent TPUSA appearance.

By this time the Jewish lobby was in meltdown over the situation as Kirk pushed the America-first message in opposition to the Israel-first stance of evangelicals and a large portion of the Republican Party including President Trump.

Benjamin Netanyahu personally intervened in the situation with a phone call to Kirk, inviting him to visit Israel again, but Kirk rejected the offer. He had written a lengthy letter to Netanyahu, outlining his concerns about Israel’s rejection by large numbers of young people over the Gaza situation.

By this time Kirk had apparently sealed his own fate, and he knew he was a possible target.

Pavel Durov himself was arrested by the French government in August 2024 after being accused of failing to “properly moderate his app to reduce criminality” including “drug trafficking, child sexual abuse content and fraud”.

The French were more likely running an operation on behalf of the EU and powerful players associated with the WEF, who want digital platforms brought under strict government controls and are using their Australian asset Julie Inman Grant for that purpose.

Telegram, which is based in Dubai, had previously denied having insufficient moderation. Pavel was allowed to leave France in March this year, after being held for more than six months.
