Former NBA first-round pick Royce White said Rep. Ilhan Omar should be deported and turned that line into a campaign slogan: “Don’t Mogadishu my America.”
The comments were made during a VladTV interview as White, who lost the Minnesota Republican Senate primary this summer, talked about a presidential run.
Asked what he thought of Omar, White said, “I think she should be deported.”
“This is not Mogadishu. Yeah. That’s my campaign pitch for my presidential run. … Don’t Mogadishu my America.”
White said the United States has become an “epicenter for Somalis” and that refugees who “talk down on this country as though it’s the worst place possible to live” should leave.
“Go back to Somalia, go live in Somalia then, if America is so bad,” he said. “And it’s not just Ilhan. It’s Ilhan. It’s Mamdani. It’s Sayed.”

White also claimed Omar’s father was “a deep state asset” tied to what he described as a U.S.-backed faction in Somalia’s civil war.
He also noted that Omar married her brother to secure immigration status.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated earlier this month that officials believe she “married her brother to try to bring him into the United States” and that “something’s going to happen” if investigators can build a non-political case.
Unfortunately, Omar is a naturalized U.S. citizen, so removing her would require denaturalization for fraud, not a routine deportation.
In a later post on X, White continued, “Ilhan Omar must be deported and it’s a crying shame this is even controversial. Her father was a war general that led a genocide, she is the fruit of deep state foreign policy. Did she marry her brother? Does she hate this country? What are we doing? Get her ass outta here.”
“Royce White for President,” the post concluded. “Mass Deportations, Moratorium!”

Last month, White made national headlines as he entered the WNBA draft after declaring himself a transgender woman to challenge the league’s gender rules.
Omar has not responded to the interview at the time of publication.
