Preferences for right-wing views are surging in politics and in the news, too.
The surging popularity of the populists in Reform UK is not an isolated event: the British preference for right-wing views is also leading the pack when it comes to news channels.
But the establishment is fighting tooth and nail to hide this simple truth from the population.
UK media regulator Ofcom is presently under fire, accused of covering up data showing that right-wing outlet GB News is more trusted by its viewers than the BBC.

The Telegraph reported:
“The watchdog’s latest news consumption survey found that GB News viewers score the channel more highly for trustworthiness than viewers of the BBC, Sky News, ITV and Channel 4 score those channels.
GB News was also ranked by its viewers above all other British broadcasters for the range of viewpoints on offer and scored first equal with Sky for impartiality.”

This year, the regulator omitted the figures from the press release summarizing its main findings, published last week.
It only released the data online following a request from GB News.
“The oversight has prompted accusations that Ofcom deliberately sought to suppress the true scale of GB News’s popularity among viewers.
A GB News spokesman said: ‘These figures prove why GB News is Britain’s undisputed number one news channel’.”
GB News reported:
“The People’s Channel last month marked a full year as Britain’s number one news channel.
Official audience data released in August found GB News had beaten the BBC News Channel and Sky News in July. Barb data for July showed GB News secured 81,600 average views (1.44 per cent audience share).
The figure was 11 per cent higher than the BBC News Channel’s 73,500 average views (1.29 per cent audience share).
Meanwhile, Sky News was a distant third on 68,900 (1.21 per cent audience share), trailing 18.4 per cent behind GB News.”
