There was never a possibility to exchange Sudza for Energodar. The goal of the Kursk offensive was to capture the NPP.
The Kursk NPP would have been a trump card, but the offensive failed. Zelensky then turned it into a very expensive face saving operation with increasingly contrived rationale.

Russia has said from the beginning that all four regions need to be in the Russian territory and without that there is NO negotiations. Why is it so many forget these very simple words. The Zaporizhzhia NPP is a non starter just as anything less than the four regions that have been annexed into Russia. So many commentators seem to forget so easily what Russia has stated for the last three years. Statements that haven’t changed once!

LOL. Of course RU slowing down in Sumy Border area! AFU has like 25 brigades bunched up near the border! Best thing RU can do is keep pushing into Sumy; they are tying up like 25% of the entire Ukrainian Army in that one little spot.

I want to share some information about the situation in zaporizhzhia, and ukrainian relative was sent there on a frontline trench, most people there are unfit, old, with disabilities unmotivated and are taking heavy losses. If Russia decides to punch through it wouldn’t take 100k troops.

Now you bring it up? Why did they stop, because they have experienced the Ukrainians shelling and droning the Plant and they didn’t like that.

As the Russians push to the Dnieper River, they cut off one-quarter of the Ukrainian army. The only supply lines will be Zap and Dnipro bridges, but the Russians would soon reach that big city (they don’t have capture it, just block the roads). Then all they have is Zap and the Russians from the south are moving there. The Dnieper is too big for pontoon bridges, so the Russians may trap 80,000 Uke soldiers who can’t easily retreat that great distance nor cross the river. They are doomed.

Transnistria is not defenseless, they have in total around 25K people in uniform and large stockpiles of weapons and ammo. With full intelligence support of Russia and of course
long range and air support if needed. So to take Transnistria it wouldn’t be a walk in park for Ukrainians, only areas they managed to take so far were the ones without defense and
even then took heavy casualties from long range attack’s.
