Thunder: New Missiles for Ukraine Defense at Zelene Pole Collapses Military Summary For 28.05.2025

By Military Summary

This video describes the military situation in Ukraine on the 28th of May 2025.

Here’s what others had to say:

@nickhumphries6220
Assembly lines and production facilities are two differing things. Japanese cars are assembled in the UK but they are Japanese cars. German missiles are German missiles no matter where they are assembled. Germany is declaring war on Russia.

@MCartmanE
I need to clarify one thing. Only Merz decided this. Not Germany and its citizens. Greetings from Germany.

@Hovardov
Russia just helping Ukraine to lose weight. What a great coach.

@MCDM007
European leaders are crazy. as a western european man, im very ashamed. i dont understand why people keep electing that kind of jackass.

@Slava_RUkraine
So much Russia winning alone while the EU and Nato lose together in Ukraine.

@murhis
Drones capable of flying 400 km+ aren’t cheap either, so in the long run, Russia will win the attrition war with drones. This is just desperation and stupidity.

@bak2back
Ukraine is shrinking back to it’s historical borders, day by day.
Zelensky must be working for Putin, right?? He’s making sure it’s on a maximum shrink hot wash.

@AchillesHeel-e7e
Marshal Georgy Zhukov the one who beat Hitler:
“We have liberated Europe from fascism, but they will never forgive us for it”

@JK-dv3qe
The German V2 ballistic missiles were just aimed at London ‘area’ (they had no accurate targeting). ukraine seems to have adopted a lot of the nazi germany ‘tactics’. even Mertz found it was appropriate to stand in front of a Nato flag with ukraine ‘Right Sector’ nazi flag on the right and speak his garbage.

@timjones1583
Ukraine would still need satelite information and guidance for these missles, or any long range missle, PLUS the software is highly classified, nato forces would need to handle the programming and flight path for the missle.

@SuchContent
Medvedev: “Regarding Trump’s words about Putin ‘playing with fire’ and ‘really bad things’ happening to Russia. I only know of one REALLY BAD thing – WWIII. I hope Trump understands this”.
I hope Merz understands that too.

@bigmoe9856
10:00 Dima, the problem with this analogy is that the Ukrainians will just as likely pick both. The last negotiations began right after a drone attack from Ukraine, despite the invitation being well known from the week prior.
Secondly is that iregardless of Ukraine accepting the invitation, Russia will continue the operation due to all the burned bridges.

@stevenelliott5403
How long would it take to get the machines and tool up to make these weapons? 6 months? A year? And do Germany really think Russia are that stupid? These missiles still couldn’t be used without the help of the US as they would have US parts in them, and they would still be German missiles if Germany sent the parts, I can see a very strong response from Russia if this happens.

@MadeleineTakam_Info_on_Profile
Taurus missiles have a range of only 320 miles and must be air launched. They are of very limited capability.

@David-nz6ox
Surely Russia must have thousands of Flak guns from ww2 ,they are perfect for low flying drones.

@louissosa1535
Ukraine has no satellite for guidance or electronics. As a matter of fact, the Taurus has US propriety components. Unless the US ok’s launch, it won’t happen.

@ButlerProspect
Regardless who supplies missiles etc, Ukraine does not have ability shoot missiles into Russia without the direct support from USA = Fact.

@brunonikodemski2420
In WW2, the Japanese tried to use Balloon Bombs on the USA with the idea that they might set forests on fire, and cause massive regional damage. Most of those landed in wet areas, and were totally ineffective. Also in WW2 corridors for attack were pre-established as standard practise, so that invading forces could be concentrated. The AFU is probably trying to “goad” Russia into making a nuclear strike onto some city in the Ukraine. The AFU command has done this before, and did several “publicity” events just to provoke the EU and USA into reaction. They have gone insane in their hatred, just like the German Nazi’s in WW2. Russia has to be careful, in that they will not stop at anything.

@AchillesHeel-e7e
There is no glory to be had in dying for Western Interest conjured up by policymakers of Aspen and The Rand Corporation.

@YThome7
Germany obviously will not only finance R&D and production of long range missiles, but would provide know-how to Ukrainian producers. It is even possible that Dima is correct – the missiles will be produced in Germany and just labeled “made in Ukraine”.
I have little doubts that all so called “Ukranian” manufacturing” of advanced weapons is actually based on Western know-how and maybe just assembled in Ukraine from Western made components.

@Ricardo-lb4so
This is an interesting twist. Germany will provide technology + know how to ukraine for producing their domestic version of taurus and UK & france will provide funding to the start up. Two/three years forward ukraine has got an arsenal of dozens of middle-range missiles enough to hit berlin, warsaw, budapest… I guess mertz &the germans are so much confident at ukranian governance structures. Guys, this charade becomes darker and darker.

@Miro1La-f2c
Do you realize that these drones are not only manufactured in Ukraine but are manufactured all over Europe for example Estonia Lithuania Latvia Poland Germany but also Britain Where even British politicians boasted about it. British politicians boasted that these drones are even relatively cheap since all the parts are from China and they are only assembled in Britain.

@RHP-o2r
Taurus requires US parts. Hard to believe Uki can avoid that. These parts require US approval for use. Furthermore Uki has no satelite guidance system, hard to believe they can set up one (France hardly can). Only the US has a proper one in the West. As you say it is rebadging or it will take several years, if at all.

@randomracki9453
Germany wants to avoid being held accountable should one of its missles be seen in Moscow.

@karlschofield2972
Merz had to roll back on his statements regarding range and targeting restrictions on Western Missiles . He clarified he was talking about the change inrestrictions applied in 2024 . This has not changed at all.

@FabiusPolis
18:35 No, it doesnt mean that “something is happening right now”. Its normal after many gains to have a operational pause as you have to reorganise your logistics to provide the new frontlines. Normal procedures in a controlled advance.

@newscoulomb3705
Ukraine is also using F-16s to do airstrikes in the Kursk Oblast, so this air corridor might also be cover for those sorties.

@sandymatheson9841
Taurus missile have USA parts. Mertz said Taurus to Ukraine but USA controls this. USA so far will not authorize the launch of Taurus missiles.

@CellGames2006
Ukraine is producing / will produce 3,000 drones per day according to their plan of 1 million drones per year, so they can absolutely keep up this small corridor of only 300 drones per day.
