The Ukranians are just throwing men and machines against the Russians out of pure desperation. The Ukie losses are described as “staggering” – from the Russian perspective Christmas has come early as they trade a little territory whilst bleeding Ukraine white.

I think the Russians should destroy the internet and TV reception inside Ukraine. It is those sources that provide the propaganda and Russophobia that the Ukrainian regime uses to brainwash their population. By stopping those sources of disinformation the Ukrainians might wake-up to reality once again.

A clever maneuver west of Sloviansk. The Russians are allowing a Ukrainian “counteroffensive” in order to drive them out of the city before winter. As they leave the city, they’re already being decimated, and out in the open terrain, it will be difficult to supply them over the long term. Then they’ll be encircled with pincer movements and systematically annihilated. And because the Ukrainian leadership now needs results to show the media, they’re walking right into the trap. That’s not exactly what you’d call clever.

Ukraine was better off as a nuetral country with friendly relations with the EU and Russia with respect for their soviet history and ties to the Russian culture and people. Turning against Russia continues to be an incredibly stupid choice for the Ukrainian nationalists. IMHO the best deal they can get currently is to return Russian lands to Russia and save the lives, the economy and futures in the rest of Ukraine as the situation will likely only become less beneficial as the war progresses. Fundamentally they should also allow their people to evacuate the warzone, forcing people to go to war is a moral wrong IMHO if they want to quit a nation or political organization they shoudl have that choice as a human right. Give the MEN and Women a choice to seek asylum outside the territory as a refugee from war. press

The Ukrainian counter attacks are a ridiculous waste of men and resources. They expose the positions of the AFU infantry that were previously dug in deep in their defensive strongholds. All this extremely high loses just to gain PR credit in Kiev’s claims for financial support from the EU and US.

There’s no realistic chance that Ukraine can withstand attacks of this scale indefinitely. NATO and the EU know this full well, even if they may choose to publicly project otherwise.

If Kiev becomes unlivable, and the leadership needs to leave the city, everyone should know that the vast majority of the citizens will also leave the city. Kiev will become a ghost city, and will lose legitimacy as capital.
