Russian President Vladimir Putin on the situation with Iranian air defense: “We proposed to our Iranian partners to cooperate with us in the field of air defense systems.
However, they did not show much interest at that time, and that was the end.
As for the strategic cooperation agreement, it does not contain provisions related to the defense sector.
Moreover, our Iranian partners do not request such provisions, so there is practically nothing to discuss on this front.”
Russia is not getting involved.
