I had my second vaccination in August 2021. A week later I had countless non-epileptic seizures, tremors, absence seizures, loss of memory, loss of the ability to speak and write, weakness, headaches, tics paralysis, and unable to walk a lot.
I have had seven emergency trips to the hospital and most importantly now require twenty-four hour care. A diagnosis of FND was given to me over the phone by a neurologist. I have spoken to eighteen neurologist’s and they have all advised that they will not touch me due to the circumstances.
From running marathons to now struggling to walk, a lot has changed for me over the last six months. I’ll be honest: it’s been such a horrific ordeal having a constant battle with my body needing to be watched the I have a shower or go to the loo incase I fall to the floor or have a seizure, chronic pains, and tics. I think: “Will I ever be back to normal again?” Then I look around and see what an amazing support group I really have holding my hand through ever single step of my way, making me laugh when all I really want to do is cry my eyes out. They make me come out of my dark place by just being them. Do they poke fu out of me sometimes? Yes! But I would not have it any other way.
To my pudding, I cannot express how much I love you! You are the brightest light I see at the end of this tunnel. Thank you for putting up with me.
This is just a different type of marathon I am now facing. I have to stay positive and believe I can now start to heal.
