Vladimir Putin’s speech at the Valdai International Discussion Club plenary session. Key statements:

🔸People are facing two choices: continue to accumulate a burden of problems that will inevitably crush everyone, or try to find working solutions that can make our world more stable and secure.

🔸Sooner or later, the new centres of a multipolar world order and the West will have to start an equitable dialogue on a common future.

🔸Real democracy in a multipolar world implies the possibility of any people, society or civilisation choosing their own path and socio-political system.

🔸As an independent and unique civilisation, Russia has never considered itself the West’s enemy but defends its right to exist.

🔸The future world order is being formed before our eyes. This requires listening to everyone, taking into account every point of view, every people, culture, every system of worldviews, ideas and religious beliefs, without imposing a single truth on anyone.
