The US State Department has approved a deal to sell AGM-114R Hellfire missiles to Denmark under the FMS program for an amount of about 45 million dollars.
The package includes:
• 100 AGM-114R Hellfire missiles;
• three AGM-114R Captive Air Test missiles for testing;
• six Hellfire (Longbow) M299 Hellfire launchers;
• two MHU-191/M trailers;
• three BRU-14 ejection systems.
The US Government insists there will be no adverse effect to US defence readiness arising from this sale.
So Denmark is arming itself to defend Greenland against a US invasion by stockpiling US missiles?
