With this kind of spending, many Australians are beginning to feel the strain. The cost of living is rising, wages are stagnating, and housing affordability is becoming a distant dream for many. The government’s focus on these costly projects, while essential in their eyes, leaves citizens questioning how much more they will be forced to bear.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme, AUKUS, and Net Zero goals, while laudable in some ways, are leading the country down an increasingly perilous fiscal path. The question remains: How long can Australia continue to rack up costs on these monumental projects while its citizens face mounting pressures in the housing market and beyond?
