Trump has snookered Iran and has blockaded the entire Strait of Hormuz. The oil tankers have set sail for US oil docks. Enough is enough.
British Empire on notice. US ending world oil extortion
Queensland oil and gas reserves
American motorists are paying $1 per litre for diesel at the bowser and they are complaining it is too expensive. Hard-pressed Australians have been conditioned to accept paying more than double this amount in normal times and now are paying $3.30 per litre or more.
While the Labor Government filibusters and flails around pushing useless green energy onto a fed-up public, the only answer Albanese has is to demand Trump opens up the Strait instead of blockading it. The Yanks have got Iran snookered and the only immediate and long term solution to fuel rationing is to buy it from the US. There you go Albo, refined oil or high quality diesel and petrol ready for the bowser, produced from oil and oil shale reserves of which the US has a lot, just like Queensland and South Australia.
But as commentator Andrew Bolt stated, “Albo can’t be kicked out because there is nobody stupid enough to replace him.”
Ampol has already begun purchasing fuel from the US while Qantas has started cancelling flights due to $800m fuel costs. The crass ineptitude and stupidity of Liberal and Labor over the past four decades allowing refineries to close and deliberately curtailing oil exploration and development ties nicely with the Communist Manifesto.
Then in 2022 Energy Minister Angus Taylor sold our US crude oil reserves of 1.7m barrels. Labor did not replace it.
Former Labor Prime Minister Paul Keating’s 1994 edict that Australia would only ever be a “service country,” meaning it will continue to barely survive under British Imperial policies as the world’s quarry for decades to come is now biting home.
The City of London aka Montifiore family in Australia has profited immensely from the nation for 150 years but Trump has derailed their Iran gravy train and we now must jump onto the US tanker wagon or be left behind to fade into oblivion by claiming our third-world status.
While the Queensland LNP government claims it will fast track development of known oil reserves in the Taroom district, the recently amended federal Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) has taken control of the entire Queensland landmass, meaning any new oil exploration has ostensibly been prohibited, in spite of claims by the dopey Canberra Environment Minister Murray Watts that the new act can fast track oil development.
Why doesn’t the LNP simply dig out the 60 year-old exploration and assay maps from Ron Camm’s old Mines Department records and start extracting oil and gas from the thousands of capped wells throughout the state. They are still there with their padlocked steel caps on steel bore casing. Ask Schlumberger and Aramco they drilled and capped most of them. This exploration company index might help you and obviate the need to open up Taroom: https://www.ga.gov.au/data-pubs/library/legacy-publications/petroleum-search-subsidy-act-publications
We should add that the Taroom district some 300 klms west of Brisbane is in the centre of the fertile brigalow belt and is some of the best cattle fattening and wheat growing country in Australia.
Any new exploration or God help us, any new actual oil extraction could take seven to 10 years after innumerable environmental studies and inquiries, the blackfellas submit their invoices, then the tree huggers and Canberra bureaucrats stake their claim, we still have the Paris Accord and ridiculous Agenda 30 climate targets and then if we are vote-frauded into another Labor government there will be no new oil in Queensland for this generation.
Unfortunately there is nobody smart enough to espouse “drill baby drill” mantra in Australia.
Will Australian voters ever wake up to the evil political class?
