Researchers said the booster shots may be required even if you’re immunized — mpox vaccine effectiveness appears to drop off after a few months, according to new research of 45 people.
People were vaccinated against or infected with mpox in 2022, researchers from Harvard Medical School found that mpox antibodies waned six to 12 months later. Even after two doses of the vaccine, health authorities say the immune testers were still were susceptible to mpox.
