You are 100% correct in your analysis with Zelensky. Anyway Zelensky cannot start any negotiation process with Russia for the following reasons:
1. Zelensky added in the constitution a law that prevent any ukrainian leader to make any peace negotiation with Russia (correct me if I am wrong)
2. Zelensky is not the legal President of Ukraine.
3. Any changes in the constitution must be ratified by the legal president.
4. Russia stipulated clearly its conditions for a cease fire and the starting of negotiation with the legal representative.
Zelensky is like Von der Leyen or Michel – they have no power only the one given to them.

Here in Germany, the media has never discussed the nature of the aid to Ukraine. Apparently no one knows whether the military goods and the many billions of dollars in state aid for Ukraine are a gift, or whether at least parts of it were intended as a loan that Ukraine has to pay back. Does anyone know anything about this question?

Zelensky HAD a strong negotiating position 2 yrs ago when Russia first offered to sit down and talk. Now they have nothing to bargain with. When your army is gone, you have zero leverage.

When Selensky says “negotiations with Russia”, he means giving the Russian negotiator an ultimatum to capitulate. He knows very well that Ukraine can never defeat Russia, hence he desperately wants NATO to engage directly in the conflict. Next station: the deployment location of the F-16s.

It is clearly an effort, that Zelenskyi start to realize, that negotiations the only thing is, that ends up the war. I don’t think, that he really believes, he can have a really strong position. Russia will call the shots, like America and China, thats it. As far as I concern, he also realize, that the resistance from his own people against him is too big to ignore it.

Give me more weapons will never work. He’ll get 10 different model tanks, all kinds of rifles, different languages, that’s why NATO is so messed up. He would need Russian weapons. But sorry it won’t happen. Too bad!
