Trump Rules Out Nuclear Strike, Says Iran Running Out Of Time: ‘The Clock Is Ticking’

Trump said nuclear weapons should never be used, reiterating that the US has already achieved its objectives without resorting to such measures.

US President Donald Trump has said Iran is running out of time even as he ruled out using nuclear weapons in the ongoing conflict, asserting that Washington has already inflicted heavy damage through conventional means.

“The clock is ticking!” Trump said, warning Tehran that while the United States is not in a hurry to end the war, pressure on Iran will only increase. He added that the US has “all the time in the world,” but Iran does not.

Rules Out Nuclear Option

Speaking at the White House, Trump dismissed the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons against Iran. “Why would I use a nuclear weapon? We’ve totally, in a very conventional way, decimated them without it,” he said.

He added that nuclear weapons should never be used, reiterating that the US has already achieved its objectives without resorting to such measures.

Military Pressure Builds In Region

The remarks come as the US ramps up its military presence in the Middle East, with a third aircraft carrier arriving in the region. The USS George H.W. Bush has joined other carriers already deployed, strengthening Washington’s position amid escalating tensions.

The conflict has also shifted focus to the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route, where Iran has imposed restrictions in response to US and Israeli actions. In turn, the US has tightened its own blockade targeting Iranian vessels and oil shipments.

Trump had earlier directed the US Navy to take aggressive action against any Iranian boats laying mines in the strait, including orders to “shoot and kill” if necessary.

The standoff has disrupted global energy flows, with shipping traffic in the region dropping sharply. Despite an extended ceasefire, there are no clear signs of diplomatic progress, with proposed talks still uncertain.

As tensions persist, both sides have hardened their positions, with Iran indicating it will keep the strait restricted and the US maintaining pressure through military deployments and maritime actions.
