If Ukraine had been a little bit less corrupt in the past there would be no NATO in Ukraine today and no problems at all. Ukraine could be the richest of all former eastern European countries if it had worked closely together with Russia and stopped all western actions to silently overtake Ukraine.

Again, it is NOT about random civil boundary lines. It is about the Rivers, Railroads, Roads, and Mineral Valuable areas. Carving out Strategic Zones is the important part.

The Russians are currently capturing new settlements, not through intense battles, but with extreme caution. The sparsely guarded areas are equally dangerous due to the mines scattered everywhere. Therefore, they always use scanning drones and mine-clearing equipment before establishing settlements. The last battalions, or those created from several decimated regiments, have been assigned to protect Sumi and Kharkiv.

I think that Russians now after Pokrovsk will focus on expanding Eastern Pokrovsk pincer towards Dobropila and Kramatorsk not only towards Konstantinovka.

Why should a potential russian defeat in the first attempt ot storm Pokrowsk turn around the trend in the SMO? Do you realy think, that the loss of a brigade would make a russian general sleep badly at night? The amygroup center did stop a lot of russian offensives in 1944 – remember who won in the end? The russian forces would just get more men to the front and try again – the ukrainian would not.

The territories that Russians are taking now painfully with blood and tears were once totally conquered and taken during the initial 2022 Russian offensive. Then during the late 2022 and early 2023 Ukrainian counter offensive, Russians forces under general Sergey Surovikin fell back without putting up any resistence. That saved the cities such as Kherson from destruction and seemed to be a wise move at the time. But judging by how hard it is to conquer those area again, Russian shouldn’t have given up those areas.
