I’ve Been Trying to Make Sense of What’s Going on With Trump, Israel, the Epstein Situation, and the Deepening Split in What Used to Feel Like a Unified MAGA Movement
By LauraAboli
On one hand, we’ve got people in Trump’s orbit—Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Joe Rogan, Steve Bannon—saying out loud what so many have been thinking for years. They’re pulling the curtain back on Israel’s influence, questioning the unconditional support, and connecting dots that were always treated as taboo. They’re red-pilling millions and I think this is by design.
But on the other hand… Trump’s own team—Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz—seems to be doubling down, repeating that “Israel is our greatest ally” and echoing the same talking points we thought America First was supposed to challenge. Their messaging lately hasn’t inspired hope, it’s fueling feelings of having been fooled yet again!
We just watched the DOJ quietly close the Epstein case. No new names, no real accountability. And everyone paying attention knows the Epstein story has deep ties to intelligence networks, including Mossad and Israel. You don’t have to connect many dots to see how that fits into a much bigger picture, and Trump’s base knows this. We remember what was promised—‘drain the swamp’. So why does it now feel like protecting parts of it?
And then there’s Trump himself. His body language has always suggested he’s not exactly fond of Bibi Netanyahu, and there are moments where it feels like he wants to say more—but doesn’t. He’s criticized Bibi publicly before, especially over how the Gaza conflict was handled. But when it comes to actual policy, we’re still sending aid, still defending foreign interests while Americans suffer at home. What happened to America First?
Because while the America First base is waking up and asking hard questions, the official messaging from the Trump campaign is leaving a lot of us confused—or worse, disillusioned.
Is there a larger tactic in play here? Some master strategy we’re not seeing? Or are we starting to confront a harder truth—that parts of this movement were always MIGA (Make Israel Great Again), not MAGA?
I hope not. But something isn’t adding up and I think a lot of people are starting to feel it.
I think we derve some answers…
