Israeli War Minister Says Israel Preparing for ‘Total War’ in West Bank

Hebrew media reports that Israeli War Minister Israel Katz and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have instructed Israeli occupation forces to prepare for the launch of a “total war” against senior officials and mechanisms of the Palestinian Authority (PA) and its affiliates “in order to swiftly bring about their complete defeat.”
“We will not allow a return to the reality of a multi-year ongoing intifada as there was in the past, but rather we will launch a comprehensive campaign against the PA and all terror infrastructure in [the West Bank], including targeted eliminations of senior officials, the evacuation of residents from cities and villages from which terror activity is carried out, the elimination of terrorists, the destruction of all local terror infrastructure, and [Israeli occupation forces] remaining in the evacuated territory—exactly as we did in the security zones in Gaza and Lebanon,” Katz said.
